All foreign students studying in New Zealand for less than three months and enrolled into a course of less than 3-months duration may hold a valid Tourist Visa, for periods longer than three months they require a valid student permit.
ACG is able to assist students on the following visa types to transfer to a student permit or to renew your current student permit while you are staying with an ACG College without needing to make a postal application to extend your visa with an Immigration Branch Office:
Please download the relevant forms and information sheets below to start the process of renewing your student permit. Once you have completed the forms please bring them to the International Centre with your passport, the required documents and the appropriate application fee.

Application Received 7 days before the current visa expiry date
- The charge for this service is NZ$150.00
- This includes the INZ Fee and an Administration Fee.
- Application received during the last 7 days before the current visa expiry date.
- The charge for this service is NZ$230.00
- This includes the INZ Fee and an Administration Fee.
- An application received on the day the current visa expires will not be accepted and you will need to apply yourself direct to Immigration NZ
